These dramatic earrings are 3" long with a high polish finish. They were made by the artist using the lost wax casting technique. The original models were hand carved and then cast in Sterling Silver. A mold was made from that original pair.
These earrings were cast using a very special Sterling Silver alloy with 5% Platinum in it! They are more expensive than standard Sterling Silver but worth it because they are highly tarnish resistant and will keep their mirror bright, white finish for a long time. The look is comparable to white gold but at a fraction of the cost!
Each pair of these earrings is hand-finished by the artist. The ear wires are standard Sterling Silver and are not handmade.
